List of Ten
Was reading back over Easy Homeschooling Techniques by Lorraine Curry. In chapter 4 she talks about Making Order. That is something I need to do on so many levels. My home was thrown out the window a while back. I've gone from Martha Stewart to Lazy Susan. It's time to remedy that. She says, "There's no fun like work! I Love to work because I love to see the results of work-clean house, a redecorated house, a weed free garden, knowledgeable children...and so on" This needs to be my motto.
Curry talks about setting goals and how to plan to reach those goals. In chapter 5, Planning for Success, she mentions making a list of ten things to do the next day. This will help you to reach your goals. Mary Kay called this her "35,000 List." Every night she made a list of ten things to accomplish the next day. And we all know that Mary Kay was successful. So here I go, I'm making lists.
I'm starting slow, just setting a couple to get me started. My Goals are, Long Term- "A Clean Pretty House" and Short Term-"Finish 4-H Record Books." Last night I made my list of ten things to do.
Here it is:
1. Help Holli work on 4-H Record Book
2. Help Anthony work on 4-H Record Book
3. Clean fish tank
4. Clean crafts off kitchen table
5. Deep clean corner of kitchen counter by microwave
6. Start a give away box
7. Return clippers to Wal-Mart
8. Trim Yoda's hair on one leg...he doesn't sit still very well
9. Put away stuff in floor on my side of bed
10. Start a craft for my home
I better get busy..."There's no fun like work!"
TTYL : )
